Mission of SBTCP

Shiloh Bible Training Centre for Pastors is a theological college whose manual has been prepared from the perspective which represents the traditional mainstream of christian theology and practice and is therefore, conservsative, evangelical and bible centred. The course manual is an integra part of a unified, self-contained curriculum of basic courses which designed to provide a local pastor or church leader anywhere in the world with the basic knowledge and skills which are neccessary to effectively carry out their Biblical repsonsibilities. The material included is essentilly 'generic' in nature and can be used in almost any culture. Since the issue of contexualisation or cultualisation primarily relates to communication, not to content the instructor or teacher will neccessarily supply cultural relecant illustratios and examples where appropriate to more effectively communicate the basic content.

The course manuals along with the NIV Study Bible (new English version, fully revised edition) consistute the teching material used in Shiloh Bible Training Centre for Pastors and church leaders. this approach is designed to meet the challenges of practically if any, formal at the Bilble College or seminary level.

When the training is completed, the course manual will constitues an ongoing resources/research library for the pastor or the church leader. they will also provide an extensive source of biblical material from which the pastor can teach and preach for years.

The underlying Biblical premise for this approach can be found in the scriptural adminition for the pastor or the leaDdr to make desciples by preaching and teaching the word of God (1Tim 4:2. 2Tim 2:2, Mat 28:18-20) knowing that theBibleis the required curriculum content.

All scriptures are God breathed (inspired) and is useful for teaching, rebuilding, correcting, training in righteous, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equiped for every good work, (2Tim 3:16-17).

The goal of this training and curricullum materials used is to equip leaders so that they will be able as pastors and teachers to prepare God 's people for works of service, so the body of Christ may be built up ( Eph4:11-12) to the glory of God and the advancementof His purpose on earth.
